Grand anniversary celebration in the Kultur-Casino Bern

The 50th anniversary celebration of the Swiss expedition’s success on Everest and Lhotse will take place on Sunday, April 30, 2006. The aim of the event is to remind the whole country of the tradition and significance of Swiss mountain climbing expeditions.
Selected speakers will introduce the ‘expedition elite’ of Swiss mountain climbing. They will also show how the sport of mountaineering has developed and changed in Switzerland over the years.
