As well as supporting scientific studies on behalf of the Alpine environment, Alpine people and Alpine sports, the SFAR also strives to publicise the results of research in a popular scientific form.
The offices of the foundation also deal with enquiries regarding all the specialist areas of Alpine research, providing a point of contact with competent researchers in the appropriate professional disciplines.

The Swiss Foundation for Alpine Research supports alpine- scientific projects in natural science as well as in humanities. We are a middleman of science in the service of the mountain world, mountain people and mountain sports.
